Playing the Part mixed two of my favorite things:
Writers and Love. Giving Robin Covington’s book 4 ½ stars, I recommend this
book to anyone who loves bad boy, untamable, sexy actors and writers who create
their on-screen characters.
I admire a woman like Piper James who is strong, recognizes
her mistakes and tries to avoid making the same mistake again. However, she
didn’t have any hoping in controlling things when Mick Blackwell collided into
her life through Chance. Mick plays by his own rules and he fights for what he
wants. Piper is stuck in not wanting to give herself over to him, but finding
she can’t resist; especially when he changes her rules. With her career on the
line and his continuing to sky rocket, the paparazzi continuing to be a problem
and wedge in whatever relationship they have going on, there is only one way
for this story to end.
Robin’s writing is phenomenal and will suck you in right
from the beginning. Like Piper, you don’t stand a chance at being able to put
this book down once you pick it up.
(I received an ARC for my honest review and this is my
honest to goodness, straight from the heart review!)
